Welcome to Impressions Dental Studio
Impressions Dental Studio is a denture clinic located in Reservoir, Melbourne. We aim to provide the highest quality dentures — aesthetically and functionally — using advanced techniques and the latest technology. Our dentures are made in our Laboratory -The IDS Lab – at the same location, in Reservoir.
This family business has spent over 50 years providing the community with expert prosthetic treatments. We offer a range of denture options to help you get back your smile. Whether it’s an implant denture, full dentures, partial dentures, tooth addition, denture reline, denture repair or a customised mouthguard, our aim is to provide you with the highest quality of care and service. At our denture clinic, the initial consultation is offered without any charge as we understand that this is the appointment in which your dentures’ best foundation is created by the time invested by us.
We offer three kinds of removable dentures: standard, precision and immediate. Each treatment option is designed to help patients with different needs achieve the same goal: replace missing teeth and restore function and aesthetics to the smile.
Traditional dentures don’t suit everyone, because some people can’t keep their dentures in comfortably. If you’re having difficulties with your traditional denture, or would prefer a more solid option, implant supported dentures may be right for you.
A Dental Prosthetist is specifically trained to construct, fit and maintain dentures. A referral is not necessary – By direct consultation, you and your Prosthetist have an opportunity to discuss aesthetic and function to enable denture design that will suit your individual situation.

What is a denture reline?
A Reline is also part of maintaining your dentures, a reline adds new base material to the tissue side of the denture so that it fits snugly, a reline should be considered if the denture is more than 4 years old, or if there has been loss of bone, or issues with ongoing breakages.
What do I need to know about cleaning dentures
Your daily routine – you should treat your dentures, as you should your natural teeth, by brushing them regularly after eating. Apart from daily cleaning – your dentures should be checked regularly to monitor fit and wear of your dentures and health of your mouth and supporting tissue.
There are many products available , we can advise you on some options for effective cleaning products that break down the plaque. If your dentures are heavily stained, bleaching is not advisable.
If your own cleaning routine is unable to remove the plaque which can lead to tartar, then you may wish for us to clean your dentures professionally for you.
Should I sleep with my dentures in at night?
We recommend that you remove your dentures at night, this allows massaging of the supporting tissue to encourage a healthy blood flow to the area.
